Design – Real – Change
Throughout the year 2017, the studio has focused on refining their vision “design real change” as an outlet for driving new industrial design, ventures, and civic projects.
Why is more design needed? To answer this question, Jonas Pettersson, CEO and Co-Founder of Form Us With, is working with his team to prioritise circular production throughout their collaborations with clients and institutions. It’s about challenging each other to have a ‘material first’ philosophy by digging into and answering the difficult questions about production and material sourcing.
Rather than designing for design’s sake, Pettersson views his own industry critically — especially on behalf of global corporations and sovereign states— designers should be making smarter, more challenging, decisions, he argues, pointing at longer time frames, that allows for deeper reflection and more rigorous testing, as a chance to lead the way into the future.
In 2009, Comforty Living invited a number of renowned European designers to compete for a contract — Andersen & Voll from Norway, Philippe Negro from France, to name a few. We were invited to Warsaw to each design a sofa. The best piece was then picked by a jury and put in production.Read more

You try to locate the sensors, looking for those dark coloured lenses usually placed in the stem of the faucets. But you can’t see anything! It’s ‘minimalism’. You place your hands a wide as you can, moving frantically to try to maximise the chance for a reflection to hit the sensor—it still doesn’t work.Read more
